: what is clan analogue? :

Clan Analogue is the Melbourne branch of the Clan Analogue Australia electronic arts organisation, which also has branches in Sydney and Canberra, and members scattered around Australia.

We put on dance parties, radio events, live gigs other "unclassifiable" media events, and we act as a coordination body and support group for electronic artists of all kinds, with a bias towards music.

This site is a simple site for notice on local Melbourne happenings, for an overview of the Australia wide activities such as CD releases see the main Clan Analogue Web Site.

: solid gold cd launch - pony bar december 1st 2001 :

solid gold flier

Clan Analogue will be launching their new 32-carat compilation CD Solid Gold with an opulent and excessive party extravaganza on Saturday December the 1st at the Pony Bar, 68 Little Collins Street. With a star-studded lineup straight from the Golden Age of electro, spread over two floors of decadence and hedonism, the Solid Gold launch party will see glittering performances from Bubble'n'Squeak, Evan on Earth, Old Des Peres, Tolchok, DJ Toupee, The Sideman, Zog, DJ Reductionist and the legendary Fletcher Munsen, not to mention Klej Butapren himself. Bubble'n'Squeak's new dancefloor anthem 'Respect Electro' is sure to get an airing while DJ Toupee will spin her own Artificial collaboration 'Any Ladies' live on the decks, amongst other deep and dark favourites. Special mention must be made of Evan on Earth, whose recent German tour has brought out the bass in him to a new Teutonic extreme.
